Ash Lee

Ash Lee began his musical career playing bass in local bands before becoming a session player on various records including Mark Owen’s (Take That) solo album. He switched to vocals and guitar and fronted both a 70’s and an 80’s tribute band gigging extensively in the UK and abroad at functions, hotels, weddings, corporate venues, holiday camps as well as pubs and clubs.

In 1995 he toured with The Proclaimers across North America, Canada and Australia before signing to Richard Branson’s V2 label in 1999 with his band YY28’s, playing the Main Stage at the Glastonbury Festival as well as TV appearances on the Big Breakfast and CD/UK amongst many others. Ash had a top 5 single in Japan in 2000 with ‘We’re Going Out’.

Today Ash has used his experience and versatility to put together a one-man show with high-quality backing tracks featuring classic songs from the 50’s to the present day right across the board (Pop, Rock n Roll, Irish, Country, Swing etc). He has a repertoire of over 500 songs including such diverse artists as Frank Sinatra, Oasis, Buddy Holly, UB40, Saw Doctors, The Beatles, Madness, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Kings Of Leon, Neil Diamond and The Pogues to name but a few, and takes pride in adapting the set to suit any audience.
